A week in the life of...

Last Sunday we visited the open house at the Leipzig Opera. Bella made an opera mask upon arrival and continued to wear it throughout the day. I think she even wore it when her and Brian went for their late night sleepy walk. Bella now feeds herself entirely...in fact, she even feeds us.

On Monday morning we woke up to the first cold and rainy day of autumn. In defense, Bella and I put on our rain gear and headed to the park to feed the ducks and collect sticks and leaves.

In other news Bella informed us tonight that she wants to go “back to school.” (We bought her a backpack today.) We asked her if she was sure and while heading for the door with her backpack and pajamas on she said, “ Yeah....back to school.”

The past few weeks have been wonderful with our bestfriends Ken and Zeina....visiting from Texas with their 3 month old son Zahi. They are Bella's Godparents....and we are Zahi's....Bella is a VERY proud big sister. While they we here we really enjoyed "pretending" that we were neighbors....though we did cover a lot of ground including Dresden, Prague and Bad Sulza. I am also including a photo of Bella and one of her dear friends, Moira.
